![]() ![]() ![]() If you really want a good Harvest Moon check out the one for NDS or Gamecube. I can only recommend this game to die hard fans of the series to check out and/or anyone who is just extremely bored looking to farm some crops. It's quite a surprise considering how poorly this one turned out that they even continued with the series at all. ![]() Overall this isn't that good of a Harvest Moon and I am really glad that they decided to keep making the games/improved on them for the future Harvest Moons. A few action commands share the same button but that's fairly common on older consoles that lacked a lot of buttons. The controls for this game are pretty much as good as you can expect them to be. Also, a huge design flaw, you can't uproot grass once you planted it. Just make sure you get animals and plant grass before winter. It is however a pretty fun game to play and can be as addictive as pretty much every other Harvest Moon. This is why I scored it a bit lower on Gameplay than I normally would have. Step 1: you can start by downloading a reliable and bug free emulator. The second component is the Harvest Moon rom itself to play on the emulator. The first component is the emulation program which can imitate the snes OS and software. Unlike its predecessors in this Harvest Moon you have no Rucksack and you have to deliver your crops/items to the bin 1 by 1. There are two components for playing a snes Harvest Moon rom on your PC. That isn't to say they're bad (for a snes game) but I feel like they could at least made them Star Ocean quality to make up for what this game lacked Honestly with how little there is to the game they could have at least done a better job with the graphics. I guess I wasn't the only person considering the OST to this game has less than 10,000 hits on youtube. Mostly because of the crappy sound on the console but aside from the Town song I was kind of annoyed by all of them. Normally I am not so harsh on soundtracks but this game just didn't have one that was impressive to me at all. On the first day of Harvest Moon there is 1000 gold in the dresser by your characters bed. Buy a Super Log House before the first summer ends. Note: Hold down the buttons the entire time. It makes this Harvest Moon a bit more like the one for PS2 rather than a Farming Simulator like the Harvest Moons you may be used to. Hold R + L + Start + Select immediately after the lights go out when done writing in the diary. The path you take in the game can change your ending, how well you do, what you do etc etc. This game (unlike the others) isn't expected to go on forever and is more story oriented. Well, with all Harvest Moons there is a backstory for your character and you have the celebrations in town each month you can attend and of course like pretty much every other Harvest Moon you can get married. This was a pretty big issue in the game if you ask me. One of the largest issues I encountered was if you go into the Winter with no animals you can't acquire animals during the winter because you need to plant grass in order to have them. This game is definitely enjoyable but as a long time fan of the series you'll definitely find it lacking. When playing in the future and you want to continue from your saved state, you can use File > Load State to load up the game from exactly where you last saved it.This is the first Harvest Moon ever made and as a fan of the series I can definitely say they have come a really long way in the last two decades. You can save your progress in whatever point you like within the game, not only on the official checkpoints offered by the game. Instead, you’ll need to click File > Save State and then choose an empty slot. The integrated save system will not save your progress. Tip: Saving games on an emulator functions a little differently. The game will now run on the emulator and you can play the game freely. Step 2: return to snes9x and hit File > Open. A ROM is essentially a virtual version of the game that needs to be loaded into the emulator. But now you’ll need to find the correct ROMs online. Your emulator will now be ready to play Harvest Moon rom. After, double click the snes9x.exe file in order to start the emulator. ![]() rar file to a location, for example your Desktop. Once you have finished downloading snes9x, extract the downloaded. We’d suggest snes9x – it’s open source, fast and one of the most frequently updated.
